How we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals
At EUTRACO, we fully embrace the importance of aligning our business strategy with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of our commitment to long-term sustainability and responsible growth, we conducted a double materiality analysis to better understand which environmental, social, and governance topics matter most to our stakeholders and our business. Based on this assessment, we have identified a set of SDGs that are particularly relevant to our operations and where we believe we can create the greatest impact.
At EUTRACO, we believe opportunity starts with access to healthcare, education and work. That’s why we sponsor proven, impact-driven charities such as Mercy Ships, whose hospital ships provide free surgeries and medical training in regions with limited healthcare access. Through focused giving and long-term partnerships, we help break cycles of poverty and enable people to move forward with dignity.
In 2025 we renewed our QESH policy, reinforcing our core values of Respect, Safety, and Passion. With tools like the Golden Life Saving Rules and the Phronesys reporting system, we strengthened our safety culture across all sites.
We launched a Truck Driver Behavior System to improve driver well-being and road safety, and expanded our in-house training for Reach Trucks, BTs, and Forklifts, with Evergem as the pilot.
We also invested in a healthier and more engaging workplace by offering fresh fruit, adding green office spaces, and creating relaxation areas with a pool table and darts to boost team spirit and reduce stress.
In 2025 we strengthened our commitment to quality education by continuing our annual training plan per joint committee, approved by the Works Council, and by further developing Eutraco’s training policy to ensure a structured and future-ready learning framework.
We offer internship grants to support young talent and maintain active partnerships with schools, illustrated by several recent initiatives and collaborations shared on our social media.
We foster gender equality through a clear and recently updated Code of Conduct that underscores our commitment to an inclusive and diverse workplace. The Code is managed by our Legal Department, ensuring consistent application across the organisation.
Every employee receives training on the Code during onboarding, followed by an annual refresher with a signed confirmation, strengthening shared responsibility and awareness throughout the company.
We contribute to clean water management by integrating rainwater tanks on our new sites, supplying sanitary facilities and supporting the sprinkler systems. Motion-sensor taps further reduce water consumption and ensure efficient use across our buildings.
Rainwater is not only reused for sanitary purposes but also stored in delayed-drainage zones, known as wadi, allowing it to infiltrate naturally into the soil rather than flowing directly into the sewage system. This helps reduce water waste and supports sustainable groundwater replenishment.
We advance clean and affordable energy through an energy-efficient infrastructure powered by renewable electricity. Our warehouses are heated and cooled with rooftop heat pumps, and all operational activities in our logistics facilities run fully on electric equipment. We use 100% green power, and all carbon emissions as occurred during construction are compensated through certified climate projects.
We promote decent work and sustainable economic growth by enforcing supplier safety and environmental standards through internal audits and the implementation of our Golden Life Saving Rules and safety action cards. Our inclusive HR policy ensures equal opportunities and a non-discriminatory workplace where everyone can thrive. We are committed to fair work and responsible growth, as anchored in the Eutraco Code of Conduct.
New logistic sites are built according to BREEAM standards, ensuring sustainable design and construction practices.
This approach supports innovation, enhances infrastructure resilience and promotes environmentally friendly solutions.
We reinforce responsible production and consumption by participating in Operation Clean Sweep to limit microplastic pollution. We conduct supplier site audits with a focus on QESH, procurement and sustainability, and our waste streams are centrally coordinated and managed by a specialized partner to ensure an efficient and environmentally responsible approach.
We are accelerating low-carbon mobility across our fleet. All diesel passenger cars are being phased out and replaced by fully electric vehicles.
At the same time, we are rapidly electrifying our heavy-duty fleet. We already operate more than 50 electric trucks, with further expansion ahead.
Our transition is supported by ongoing investments in solar energy, battery storage and a fully implemented Energy Management System that optimises charging and energy use.
We have implemented an ESG strategy focused on net-zero ambitions, social empowerment and strong governance. A CEO roadshow across all sites helped ensure transparency and employee engagement by clearly communicating our company direction. Our Code of Conduct has been communicated and signed by employees, customers and suppliers, reinforcing our commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.
We continue to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to strengthen our sustainable footprint and expand our network. By sharing knowledge, fostering innovation and aligning across the value chain, we drive greater collective impact.
