How we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals
At EUTRACO, we fully embrace the importance of aligning our business strategy with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of our commitment to long-term sustainability and responsible growth, we conducted a double materiality analysis to better understand which environmental, social, and governance topics matter most to our stakeholders and our business. Based on this assessment, we have identified a set of SDGs that are particularly relevant to our operations and where we believe we can create the greatest impact.

In 2024, we renewed and communicated our QESH policy based on core values: respect, safety, and passion, incorporating practical tools such as the ‘Eutraco Golden Life Saving Rules,’ Toecan app awareness, and Phronesys reporting system.
We implemented a ‘Truck Driver Behavior System’ to improve driver well-being and road safety.
Additionally, we ensured in-house training for all relevant employees on the use of Reach trucks, BTs, and Forklifts, with Evergem site as the pilot for this initiative.

As part of our strategy for long-term sustainability, we emphasize “Energy Management,” focusing on energy efficiency and the adoption of renewable energy sources to reduce our environmental impact.

Ensuring supplier safety and environmental standards through internal audits, alongside the implementation of the “Golden Life Saving Rules’, safety action cards, promotes better working conditions, reduces accidents and fosters sustainable economic growth.
An inclusive HR policy promotes equal opportunities and non – discrimination empowers all employees, regardless of background or identity.

New logistic sites are built according to BREEAM standards, ensuring sustainable design and construction practices.
This approach supports innovation, enhances infrastructure resilience and promotes environmentally friendly solutions.

In 2024, we formed a partnership to actively participate in Operation Clean Sweep, aiming to reduce microplastic pollution.
We implemented site audits to our suppliers, focusing on QESH, procurement and sustainability. This to ensure sustainable production and consumption practices.

We are taking significant steps towards reducing our carbon footprint. We will further electrify our own heavy fleet and expand the installation of solar panels and battery storage systems. By the end of 2025, we aim to electrify 25% of our own HDV fleet. To further support these goals an Energy Management System (EMS) will be implemented in 2025.

During 2024, we have implemented an ESG Strategy focused on net-zero, social empowerment and sustainable governance. A CEO roadshow across all sites has ensured transparency and engagement by informing employees about the company’s direction. Our Code of Conduct has been communicated and signed by our employees, customers and suppliers.

We keep collaborating with multiple stakeholders to improve our sustainable footprint and strengthen our network. Driving greater impact through shared knowledge, innovation and value chain alignment.
