In December 2020, Eutraco will inaugurate the first 40,000 m2 of a brand new logistics site at Park De Hulst in Willebroek. An additional 20,000 m2 will be finished one year later. The entire project will be realised by MG Real Estate.

CEO Serge Gregoir explains: “Corona or not, it’s up to leading logistics companies like Eutraco and project developers like MG Real Estate to join forces and make logistics more sustainable in an unambiguous way. The current climate is even an extra stimulus.”

Ignace Tytgat, CEO MG Real Estate, adds: “For Eutraco we realised one of the very first logistics buildings in Belgium without gas heating. All site facilities, including heating via heat pump, are electrically powered. The electricity is 100% green and the solar panels will generate at least as much energy as will be consumed by the site itself.

Our conscious choice, where we invest productively in ‘asset’, is part of our strategic growth ambition. With this project being realised by MG Real Estate, we are taking a giant leap forward. Moreover, the site boasts an exceptional location. Thanks to its location along the Willebroek Canal, there is direct access via inland navigation. In time, this will also be integrated in our plans.”

Ignace Tytgat, CEO MG Real Estate: “Park De Hulst in Willebroek, with its 570,000m2 and ideally situated in between Antwerp and Brussels, is a distinctly sustainable business park. Decathlon, FNAC-Darty, Toyota Material Handling, Metro group and Dascher share the common green and water buffers. With the arrival of Eutraco, the park is nearing completion. And negotiations are already ongoing for the very last plot that is still available”.

Clearly, with this project Eutraco has a role to play in first-class logistics. It will expand its logistics volume in Belgium from 100,000 m2 to 160,000 m2. CEO Serge Gregoir: “And this certainly is not an end point. The Eutraco strategy aims to double its logistics volume every 2 years. To obtain this, we have found a perfect partner: MG Real Estate”.
