For several years now, Eutraco has been joining the Truck Safety initiative set up by the Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde (Flemish Foundation for Traffic Science). As a company, we are committed to taking measures to continuously increase the safety and well-being of our drivers on the road (and the people around them).
We have already obtained this label for several years, but what is special is that the VSV has chosen Eutraco as the winner of the Truck safety label 2018 for the actions we took last year in the context of this.
This is the motivation of the jury:
Eutraco started in 1967 as a transport company in Roeselare. As a small family business, it quickly grew into a professional Flemish player. Thanks to the efforts of more than 250 enthusiastic colleagues, who work from different sites, they attach great importance to pursuing personal contact with the customer.
Through their digital platform, supplemented with messages to the onboard computer, they regularly distribute information about initiatives within the company and updates to involve all employees. They proactively organise training and medical examinations so that the driver can focus on his job, well-being and safety. The recruitment of a Driver Care Officer provides the right professional support for the recruitment, reception, training and complaints follow-up of their drivers. The People Care Team wishes to further deepen and improve the Driver Care programme in the future. The company continues to focus on raising awareness about blind spots.
We are very honoured with the award of this label and of course we have already committed ourselves once again to continue working on Truck Safety in 2019.
We would like to thank our driver care team for making this possible!
